This guide replaces an earlier comparison that included accuracy figures for other platforms without a source we could link. We removed them. What remains is data we measured ourselves, with the raw files published, and criteria you can check yourself on any tool.

What we measured and what we did not

• Not measured: we have not measured Maite AI, Lefebvre, Legar or other legal products, and we do not publish figures for them.

What to check on any legal AI tool

1. Linked citations: each statute or ruling citation should link to the BOE, CENDOJ or the official source so you can open and read it.
2. What it does with a citation it cannot confirm: whether it flags it or lets it pass as correct. Lexiel checks citations against the BOE, CENDOJ and its corpus and flags those it cannot confirm, but no tool is error-free: always review.
3. Where data is stored and processed: ask for the sub-processor list. Lexiel stores data in the EU (Germany) and anonymizes personal data before sending it to its AI providers, which operate in the US under Standard Contractual Clauses (list in the privacy policy).
4. Public pricing: published rates and clear terms, or quote-only.
