Terms of Service

1. Definitions

  • Lexiel: The legal artificial intelligence platform accessible at lexiel.ai
  • User: Any individual or legal entity accessing or using Lexiel
  • Service: All functionalities offered by Lexiel (document analysis, legal chat, case law search, brief generation)
  • Generated Content: Any text, analysis, or document produced by Lexiel's AI

2. Purpose

These Terms govern access to and use of the Lexiel platform. By registering or using the Service, you accept these Terms in their entirety.

3. License

Lexiel grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use the Service in accordance with your subscription plan and these Terms.

4. Use Restrictions

You may not:

  • Use Lexiel for illegal activities or those contrary to professional ethics
  • Attempt to access other users' data
  • Reverse engineer the software or AI models
  • Resell or redistribute access to the Service without authorization
  • Use the Service to generate spam or misleading content
  • Intentionally overload the Service infrastructure

5. AI Disclaimer

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

  • Lexiel is an assistance tool for legal professionals. It does not constitute legal advice.
  • AI-generated results are probabilistic and may contain errors or inaccuracies.
  • The User is responsible for reviewing and validating all information before professional use.
  • Lexiel does not replace the judgment, training, and responsibility of a lawyer.
  • Legal citations are verified against official sources, but verification is not infallible.
  • The User assumes professional liability for any use of Generated Content before their clients and courts.

6. Intellectual Property

  • Lexiel's: The software, algorithms, design, brand, and documentation are the property of Lexiel AI.
  • User's: Documents you upload and data you input are and remain your property.
  • Generated Content: AI-generated Content is licensed to the User for professional use. Lexiel does not claim ownership of Content generated from your data.

7. Fees and Billing

  • Prices are published on the pricing page and may be modified with 30 days' notice.
  • Billing occurs monthly or annually, depending on the chosen plan.
  • Payments are processed through Stripe. We do not store card data.
  • Non-payment may result in Service suspension.
  • Right of withdrawal: 14 days from subscription (pursuant to Spanish consumer law).

8. Termination

  • You may cancel your account at any time from settings.
  • Lexiel may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
  • After termination, your data is deleted according to our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Spanish law:

  • Lexiel shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.
  • Lexiel's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the User in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
  • Lexiel does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Service.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  • These Terms are governed by Spanish law.
  • For any dispute arising from these Terms, the parties submit to the Courts of Madrid, waiving any other jurisdiction.

11. Modifications

Lexiel reserves the right to modify these Terms. Changes will be communicated by email and/or platform notification at least 15 days in advance. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect implies acceptance.
