Unemployment subsidy FAQ

How much is the unemployment subsidy in 2026?

What is the special subsidy for over-52s?

Art. 274.4 LGSS provides a subsidy of €600/month (100% IPREM 2026) for unemployed people aged 52 or over who have contributed at least 6 years in total and do not exceed the income threshold (€888/month). It continues until ordinary retirement.

The contributory benefit requires ≥360 contribution days and is based on your regulatory base (70%/50%). The assistance subsidy (Arts. 274-283 LGSS) pays a fixed €480/month (80% IPREM) and covers those with no contributory entitlement or who have exhausted it.

What is the income limit to receive the subsidy?
