GDPR Document Anonymizer
Personal data detected and replaced
Contextual recognition: distinguishes natural from legal persons and adapts anonymization to the document type
What is the anonymizer used for?
Frequently asked questions about GDPR anonymization
What personal data does the anonymizer detect?
Lexiel's anonymizer detects and replaces: names and surnames, national ID/NIE/passport, phone numbers, email addresses, IBAN and bank details, postal addresses, vehicle plates, and other personal identifiers under Art. 4 GDPR.
What is the difference between anonymization and pseudonymization?
Anonymization (GDPR recital 26) eliminates all possibility of re-identification, meaning the data falls outside GDPR scope. Pseudonymization replaces identifiers with codes but keeps re-identification possible with additional information. Lexiel applies full anonymization.
Is anonymizing documents mandatory in the legal sector?
The CGPJ requires anonymization of court decisions before publication (LO 6/1985). GDPR requires data minimization in any processing. For lawyers, anonymization is required before sharing documents with third parties, in training, and in legal publications.
Can I use the anonymizer for court judgments and legal briefs?
Yes. The anonymizer is specially optimized for legal texts: judgments, legal briefs, contracts, and notarial documents. It recognizes legal context to distinguish between natural persons and legal entities.
