Documentation
Learn how to get the most out of Lexiel.
Quick Start Guide
1. Sign up at lexiel.ai with your professional email.
2. Make your first query in Legal Chat. Ask a question about Spanish law and receive a response with verified citations.
3. Upload a document in the Documents section. Lexiel will automatically analyze it, extracting key clauses, risks, and recommendations.
4. Search case law using semantic search. Type what you're looking for in natural language and Lexiel will find the most relevant judgments.
5. Generate a brief in the Writing section. Describe your case and Lexiel will generate a draft with legal reasoning and verified citations.
How Document Analysis Works
When you upload a document (PDF, DOCX, or plain text), Lexiel:
- Extracts text from the document preserving structure
- Identifies the type (contract, complaint, judgment, appeal)
- Analyzes key clauses relevant to the document type
- Detects risks such as unfair terms or expired deadlines
- Generates a summary with the most important points
- Verifies legal references against official sources (BOE, CGPJ)
How Verification Works
Lexiel's anti-hallucination system verifies every legal citation:
- Legislation: Checks that the article exists in the cited law and content matches
- Case law: Verifies judgment number, court, date, and reporting judge
- Confidence indicator: Each citation receives a status (verified / unverified / partially verified)
- Official sources: BOE, CENDOJ (CGPJ), Constitutional Court, OJEU
When Lexiel cannot verify a citation, it explicitly indicates so, allowing the lawyer to check it manually.
