Judicial assistance / Letters rogatory

Instrument through which a judicial body requests another to carry out proceedings outside its territory. National letters rogatory are governed by the LEC. International ones follow bilateral conventions and Regulation (EU) 1206/2001. Allows taking evidence in other jurisdictions.
