Emancipation

Legal act by which a minor acquires full legal capacity before reaching 18 years of age. May occur by marriage, grant by parents (from age 16, with minor's consent, before a notary or judge) or judicial grant. The emancipated minor can manage their person and assets but cannot borrow, encumber or alienate immovable property without parental or curator consent.
