Summary bill of exchange proceedings
Special proceedings for collecting bills of exchange, cheques and promissory notes. Allows immediate provisional enforcement against the debtor's assets. The debtor may oppose through limited defences (forgery, lack of representation, loss, time-bar, payment). Most effective proceedings for negotiable instruments.
