Frequently asked questions

What types of documents can I compare?

You can compare any type of legal document: lease agreements, commercial contracts, public deeds, insurance policies, employment contracts, non-disclosure agreements, articles of association, and any other document in text or PDF format.

What does Lexiel's comparator analyze?

The comparator identifies: modified or deleted clauses, new obligations and risks, changes in economic conditions (price, deadlines, interest), modifications to liabilities and guarantees, and changes in dispute resolution mechanisms.

Does the comparator detect unfair terms in the changes?

Yes. In addition to detecting differences, Lexiel evaluates the changes in context: it flags whether the modifications introduce potentially unfair terms (TRLGDCU), liability-limiting clauses, or significant imbalances between the parties.

Can I compare a contract in Spanish with a version in another language?

Currently the comparator is optimized for documents in Spanish. Comparison between languages requires prior translation. For bilingual documents (English/Spanish), it works best when comparing versions in the same language.
