Procedural deadline control in Lexiel: calculation by jurisdiction and regional holidays

How Lexiel calculates and tracks procedural deadlines: by jurisdiction, with regional holidays, tied to the case and exportable to your calendar.

A miscounted deadline is the most expensive mistake a firm can make, and it is almost never an error of law: it is a regional holiday you overlooked, August not counting, or a day counted from notification instead of from the next day.

When deadlines live in each lawyer's personal calendar, the firm also has no shared view of what is falling due.

How Lexiel solves it, step by step

Lexiel calculates deadlines by jurisdiction, applies regional holidays and ties each one to the case it belongs to.

  1. In the Deadlines and agenda menu, open Deadlines. You will see the total, pending, urgent and overdue, with a completion percentage bar.
  2. Press Calculate deadlines to get the due date from the procedural step and the jurisdiction, with regional holidays applied, or New deadline to record one by hand.
  3. Each deadline is tied to its case and appears in its Deadlines tab and in the calendar.
  4. Switch between list, card and calendar views, and export to CSV or iCal to take them to your own calendar.

What it does not do

  • Reading the rule and the final decision on the count remain the lawyer's: check every critical deadline against the official source.
  • Calendar sync with Google and Outlook could not be checked in the 4 November measurement: what we verified for taking deadlines to your agenda is the iCal export.
  • It does not file briefs or create deadlines from LexNET notifications: that inbox is not connected.
