Messaging clients from the case portal: one conversation per matter, not per WhatsApp

The client writes from their case link and you reply from Lexiel, with an email notice to each side. What the portal shows today and what it does not do yet.

The client writes to you by WhatsApp, email and phone, and the thread of what was agreed ends up split across three places. When you must show what was said and when, there is no single conversation to go to.

The client has the opposite problem: they do not know which channel to reply on or whether their message reached the right lawyer.

How Lexiel solves it, step by step

Lexiel gives each matter a link-based portal where the client, without an account, sees their case and talks to the firm.

  1. Share the case portal link with the client. They do not need to register.
  2. In the portal the client sees the case status, documents, open requests, invoices with PDF, deadlines for the next 90 days and the timeline, and can write to you.
  3. You read it in Portal messages, inside Clients: the list of conversations on the left and the thread on the right, with a button to open the case.
  4. Reply with Enter (or Shift+Enter for a new line). Each side gets an email notice when there is a new message.

What it does not do

  • The portal today shows the "raw" case status: it has no milestones, no "nothing pending on your side", no next update and no automatic notice when the case changes status.
  • Online payment of invoices from the portal is switched off.
  • It does not replace a video consultation: Lexiel has no video call room.

Frequently asked questions

Does the client have to register?

No, they enter with the portal link.

Can the client pay the invoice from the portal?

Not today: online payment is off until Stripe Connect per firm is in place. The client can see the invoice and download the PDF.
